To fully leverage the growth opportunity, we connected our contractor network with additional support including coaching, peer mentoring, business development classes and sales training. As a result, Enhabit better positioned the Home Performance industry for a stable and more resilient future.
Establish “High Road” StandardsEnhabit designed an innovative approach to workforce development with a strong focus on equity. Together with the City of Portland, organizational and business partners, trade unions, advocacy organizations and workforce development groups, we activated High Road standards and partner agreements. These agreements provide a roadmap for delivering quality training and good jobs with family-supporting wages and benefits to communities that haven’t had access to the same economic opportunities.
High Road standards have set priorities around workforce development and our contractor pool. Deploy Workforce TrainingEnhabit supported employers in developing the skilled workforce needed to meet the growing demand for home energy upgrades. In collaboration with Worksystems Partnership, resources and grant funding were combined to help more workers access critical training needed for the growing home performance and energy efficiency arena.
In addition, Enhabit convened stakeholders in the home performance field to define and establish the first Bureau of Labor and Industries-approved Home Retrofit Apprenticeship Program. InnovationsCentralized project management platform: Customized, one-stop access created for contractor firms to access customer project details and technical specifications. Continuing education and training, including monthly ‘Techie Brekkies’ to keep trade allies abreast of latest business, technical and industry trends.
Aggregated marketing investments: Collaborative co-branded outreach opportunities to help generate more demand for small and mid-sized businesses. Building Performance Institute certification: Standardized training to keep contractors abreast of latest certification requirements and technology advancements.
